Our 2016 performance, co-produced by Tom Berry and The Telling Project, and supported by The Jackson Institute for Public Policy, The Yale School of Drama and Adept Word Management will receive a reprise performance at Lincoln Center, presented by the Lincoln Center Veterans Initiative. Directed by Kevin Hourigan and scripted by Jonathan Wei, this unprecedented performance, in which US military veterans and refugees from Iraq and Afghanistan shared the stage, was covered by NPR’s Morning Edition when it opened.

Our collaboration with Chattanooga State Community College will go to stage September 23rd, kicking off our fall season of public performances. We’ve loved working with the great folks at CSCC, and are really excited to see this wonderful production come to stage. Six performances at the Humanities Auditorium – see you there!

The Telling Project is in El Paso this week, working in conjunction with El Paso’s PBS television station, KCOS, to bring six vets-turned-performers onstage to share their stories with El Pasoans as part of Telling El Paso. Anchor Stephanie Valle reports.  This will be the 40th production of the Telling Project since 2008.  We’ll see you there!

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee of the 18th Congressional District attended Sunday, April 3rd’s performance of “Telling: Houston,” and honored Max Rayneard and Julie Coan’s work there with a Congressional Commendation.  What an extraordinary honor – for the cast and crew of ‘Telling: Houston,’ and for all of the men and women who have stepped forward to tell their stories to their communities.

We’re incredibly grateful and humbled by the amazing work undertaking by WEDU and The Florida Humanities Council, the culmination of which is the documentary “Veterans: The Telling Project,” a ‘making of’ feature on “Telling: Tampa Bay,” performed last spring throughout the Tampa Bay region. The film was premiered at the Tampa Theater on November 4th, and was first aired on WEDU on November 5th. It will be distributed for national broadcast as of January 1, 2016.
